A Amnistia Internacional na Alemanha celebrou o seu 60 aniversário dos direitos humanos em 2008 com “Mulher numa mala” uma acção de guerrilha em aeroportos. Esta acção passou por colocar uma mulher numa mala transparente e colocá-la na passadeira de recolha de bagagens, protestando assim contra o tráfico humano.

Amnesty International in Germany celebrated the 60th anniversary of human rights in 2008 with “Frau im Koffer”, an ambient advertising campaign at German airports.
“Woman in Suitcase” stunt involved putting a woman in a transparent suitcase and sending her around the baggage carousel with what appeared to be official airport stickers. Upon closer inspection airline passengers discovered that this was a protest against Menschenhandel, or human trafficking. Die Ware Mensch, or the Merchandise Man.

KK Projects

KKProjects é um projecto situado no bairro de St. Roch em Nova Orleães que intervem em 6 estruturas abandonadas e destruídas pelo Katrina: uma antiga padaria, uma loja e quatro casas de 1800’s. Cada estrutura alberga uma instalação site-specific por três meses. Artistas nacionais e internacionais são convidados para intervir com os espaços à medida que os encontram, bem como com o ambiente fisíco e cultural à sua volta.

KKProjects is based in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans in six previously abandoned an destryoed structures: a former bakery, a storefront, and four 1800s houses. Each structure houses a site-specific installation for a three month exhibition period. Local and international artists are invited to work with the spaces as they find them, as well as with the surrounding physical and cultural environment.

Australian Childhood Foundation

Campanha para a Australian Childhood Foundation (Fundação Australiana para as crianças), para a sua campanha Stop Child Abuse Now (Parem o abuso infantil). Onde manequins do tamanho de crianças foram colocadas na rua com um poster por cima com o copy: “As crianças negligenciadas tornam-se invisíveis”. Quando a “criança” saía do poster via-se o copy: “Obrigado por me ver”

Street campaign for the Australian Childhood Foundation, for their campaign Stop Child Abuse Now.Where child size mannequins to represent children suffering neglect were placed in high traffic locations around the city and then a billposter was pasted over the top of the figure so only the feet and legs could be seen. Words on the poster read, “Neglected Children are made to feel invisible.”
When the mannequin is removed the text “Thank you for seeing me” become visible.

In order to communicate the brand Nike, and their approach in terms of inciting exercise everywhere, the bus hands straps were transformed into power grips providing exercise to bus passangers.

Dash Macdonald , onde patins controlados por um controlo remoto metem o destino do artista nas mãos da audiência, criando assim uma situação onde parâmetros sociais são confrontados. O humor e o espectáculo são usados para atrair os participantes para a emoção do evento distraindo-os para o que realmente está a acontecer : uma experiência social subversiva que questiona até onde as pessoas vão para procurar a sua diversão. Este projecto faz parte do colectivo criado por Dash Macdonald e Demitrios Kargotis- DASHNDEM.Vídeo aqui.

In Your Hands is a performance project by

Dash Macdonald s where remote-controlled roller skates place the artist’s fate in the hands of the audience, creating a situation where ethical parameters are challenged. Humour and spectacle are used to lure the participants into the thrill of the event while distracting them from what is really happening, namely a subversive social experiment which questions how far people are willing to go to seek their own enjoyment. This project is part of the collective created byDash Macdonald e Demitrios Kargotis -DASHNDEM. Video here.
